FOCUS Magazine –  Boise State University Seal

Professor of Practice, Benjamin Victor, his assistant, Madeline Fluharty and BSU Sculpting Professor, Francis Fox were interviewed about the production process of the 36″ University Seal to be placed in the entrance walkway at the new Alumni and Friends Building on University Drive. The relief was made possible through donations for the project.

Sculptor and Boise State Professor of the Practice Benjamin Victor attended a dedication ceremony of his newly-completed statue of Robert A. “Bob” Hoover at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, Chantilly, Virginia  April 2, 2016.

Hoover is considered one of the greatest pilots who has ever lived, having worked as a United States Air Force test pilot, a fighter pilot in WWII and as an air show pilot throughout his career. He is credited with having revolutionized aerobatic flying, earned a Distinguished Flying Cross, Soldier’s Medal for Valor, Air Medal with Clusters, Purple Heart and the French Croix de Guerre during his career, and was named the third greatest aviator in history by the Smithsonian Museum.
